This property was absolutely stunning! By far our favorite place we have ever stayed. A perfect oasis above Varenna that feels secluded but close enough to enjoy the beauty of Lake como. We can’t wait to return!

Grounds very impressive....well kept, although it felt like the property was closing up for the season. Views were outstanding. Dinner first night - very impressive, one of the best meals we had in Veronna. Staff very attentive. Breakfast next morning - full breakfast - good but overpriced. Staff still attentive. Perledo night bus worked VERY well to return to the property at night. The transport (25 E one direction) from the resort to the town or from town to the resort on demand during the office hours worked very well. The hotel might want to consider a shuttle service that operates at specific times during the day.

− No heat until we complained the day before we departed No daily fresh towels until we complained on the night before we departed Towels we had could not dry as there was no heat. We were supposed to get housekeeping every day but it was almost like they did not know that we were there. Light breakfasts other mornings - staff did not appear to really want to be there and guests were an irritant. The resort was more remote from the town of Veronna than I thought it would be. The walk to the village is more like 30 minutes and would be impossible if raining (as it would be too slippery).
