When you see pictures of Santorini, especially Oia, you see the pictures that we saw every day bye looking out from our room’s patio. The view from was fabulous! We had to walk down a couple of levels of steps to get to the room. It has a small patio in front where they brought two hour patio a delicious breakfast every day. (fruit, a hard, boiled egg, some bread, coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice. I think they call this type of room a cave house. Even during the hot day, it was pretty cool even without air conditioning onin our room. The staff, especially Irini and Aphrodite, we’re very helpful. They arranged for us to rent a scooter, which I highly recommend, and to take a Catamaran cruise that was a wonderful way to get on the out on the water and see the island. I really can’t recommend this place enough. Everyone wants to see Oia, but at times the main pathway is like a two way conga line. We were able to enjoy Oia from our room, and explore the city after the bus loads of tourist had left. Even though everybody comes to Oia for the sunset, I would recommend going elsewhere to avoid the massive crowds. There are better places for the sunset.

− The only slight complaint I might have is that the shower doesn’t have a shower curtain or something to prevent the water from spilling out on the floor. It was not really a problem, but… Be aware that there are no great beaches in this area. While they’re plenty of fabulous beaches throughout the island, you would need to go outside 0IA to see them. You could hike down to nearbyAmudi Bay and hike around a little bit to go swimming Saint Nicholas chapel.
