Arumvale has been our favourite place to relax, unwind and reconnect as a family for the last 6 years. George is always a warm welcome as if you visit special family you have not seen for awhile, their beautiful suites all have an incredible view and are fully equipped with everything you need. We have stayed in 3 various units and they all have a special something they offer. Uniquely beautiful and special in their own way. The suites have all been created to give you the best view and surroundings of the Hermitage Valley surrounding it. Sitting on the porch with your morning coffee, watching the pigs, cows and horses as well as sunset braais with the gorgeous mountain wrapping around us is just enchanting. The property is also bursting with fresh produce and chickens, we fetch fresh eggs in the mornings, pick lemons, smells the fresh herbs and admire the seasonal veg Bev is growing that time of the year. The staff are always so warm and friendly, coming in each day to freshen up and lighten the load of daily chores so we can enjoy our stay to the fullest. The small thoughtful items for us to settle in like a jug of milk is always such a nice touch especially when we arrive later in the evening. Electric blankets on the beds for the winter times. The cute fireplaces in every unit... you can tell this place leaves nothing amiss. We love Arumvale and will be back to spend many more family days together there. It's truly a Swellendam hidden gem, hard to share as it feels like a secret place we want to keep to ourselves✨️ thank you for being our home away from home. Till next time xoxox Cas, Louis & Amy

Just wow!!!

We had the most wonderful stay, the location is stunning, waking up to the view of horse and the mountains. And even though the weather was not great, the inside fireplace is where it all happened, relaxed, played games and dinned. The unit was clean with a very comfortable old country home style - which what I loved. I love trail running, which was perfect as we were close to the mountains and dams, and even though I ran alone as a female, I felt extremely safe. I will recommend this place to any body

Wonderful accommodation where we felt very comfortable from the very first second. Large living room with a cozy dining area. Well-equipped kitchen, two large bathrooms, a great upstairs with comfortable beds, and a balcony with beautiful views of the countryside. A terrace for sunbathing and a grill for spontaneous BBQs. Super friendly staff, great hosts, and an overall super-family-friendly atmosphere.

Swellendam view

We had the most lovely house in Swellendam. We liked the creative interior with split-levels.The view, even from out your bed was gorgeous! Unfortunately we stayed only for 1 day. Hopefully we will come back.

Beautiful place with the most beautiful surroundings. The tranquility makes you forget about everyday life! The bed and linen were of excellent quality and the unit was very well equipped.
