Luxury home away from home

Lovely near new home but the lack of cleanliness really let it down

The house was huge and more than enough space for 6 of us.

− The house was extremely dirty. The towels were so stained that none of us felt comfortable using them and went and bought our own from a nearby store. The bathrooms were mouldy, particularly the showers. There was a disgusting smell in the laundry.

I loved how spacious this house was and the air conditioning was amazing. Once needed help, the host acted quickly.

I really am finding it hard to find the good.

− The state of the property was disgusting. Garbage (including dirty nappies and rotten food) everywhere. Weeds the only feature of the gardan. It was also missing some key features like hot tub, view and fireplace! In addition to this the host sends you a long list of what YOU are expected to clean and do, including leaving the property clean and ready for the next guest!! You pay a $150 cleaning fee but are then told this is simply an inspection fee. The towels (you only get one per person for the entire time) smelt like they have been left wet before drying. Posters and tapped notes on walls everywhere, making it feel more like a half way house than a Luxury House! Cheap, cheap, cheap - nothing luxury about this house or the stay.
