Een aangenaam verblijf met enkele kleine verbeterpunten.

Het ontbijt was goed. Ook de mogelijkheid om te kunnen eten in het restaurant was fijn en het eten was lekker. Het personeel was vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De kamer was schoon. De familie is bezig om er weer een mooi hotel van te maken.

− De eerste aanblik buiten was wat rommelig. De entree van het hotel was erg vol met allerlei souvenirs. Na een lange reisdag gaf dit geen rustige uitstraling. De wifi en het internet functioneerde zwak tot slecht, in tegenstelling tot wat er in de beschrijving staat. Onze tip is de beschrijving over het internet aan te passen en in ieder geval voor alle gasten in de kamer voldoende toiletartikelen neer te leggen.

Bijzondere grote kamer. Schoon. Leuk uitzicht aan de achterzijde. Prima ontbijt, of in de ontbijtzaal of het wordt gebracht op je kamer. Dicht bij Flensburg.

Never again, unfortunately

We stayed here once before during the winter and enjoyed our stay so much that we decided to return during our summer vacation. Even though the price was higher than other hotels in the area, we thought that the service made it worth it. On our previous visit, we were impressed by the friendly staff and the excellent breakfast. Unfortunately, our experience this time was very different.

− When we arrived, the reception staff were not particularly welcoming, refused to speak English and informed us that we did not have a reservation, despite me showing both our booking confirmation and proof of payment (!). At one point, they turned the computer screen towards me to demonstrate that our names were not on the list, and I immediately noticed my name clearly visible in the middle of what was actually quite a short list. After checking in, we were asked to complete a breakfast order form and choose whether we wanted it served in our room or in the restaurant. We selected room service. The following morning, however, no breakfast arrived. When we went to the restaurant to ask about it, the staff member there rolled her eyes and remarked that we were already the second guests that morning with the same complaint, as she had not received the information from the colleagues who had taken the order. We did not get any apologies for the mix-up, if anything it seemed more like she considered it our fault. After some waiting time, we got to have our breakfast in the restaurant but unfortunately did not get what we had actually ordered. Finally, the room was extremely hot when we arrived, even though the outdoor temperature was only around +23. We were aware that the hotel does not have air conditioning, but simple things like opening the windows beforehand or closing the curtains to keep out the afternoon sun would have made a significant difference. Instead, the windows were closed and the curtains fully open, allowing the sunlight to heat the room considerably. It made us wonder how uncomfortable the room would be in hotter weather. Overall, this stay was a major disappointment compared with our previous visit. While individual issues can of course happen, the poor service and absence of even a simple apology left us with a much less positive impression than before. We will not be returning.

De kamer was oké. Alles was in het maritieme thema aangekleed, wel leuk gedaan. Als wij er waren, was het wel erg warm. Moeilijk om de kamer te verkoelen zonder airco.

− Het logement ligt langs een drukke baan, dus met het raam open hoor je vanaf 's morgens vroeg veel verkeer. Het ontbijt was ook erg beperkt, maar oké voor 1 nacht.
