Magarija (a donkey farm) is a truly unique place. It is authentic, and full of character. The presence of other traditional South Serbian farm animals creates a genuine rural atmosphere that you rarely find today, If you are looking for something different from standard accommodation, something close to nature and rooted in local tradition, this is definitely a place to visit.

A fantastic stay, great people and the animals were just wonderful to see.

− Ok the beds were a bit low and the bathroom was downstairs making it a little awkward for us oldies. But I'm still scoring it 10, everything else was so good (if you like animals).

Hidden gem - absolut recommendation!

This is an absolut hidden gem! Especially when you're travelling as a family with kids and need a layover before continuing to Bulgaria. One gets to spend the time at a farm where one is greeted by amazingly friendly people and gets to interact with the animals. Owners are there if you need something but also give you free space so you can wander around and be with the donkeys yourself. The cabin itself is spacious, clean and overall beautiful. Our kids loved playing with all of the animals. Can not recommend this enough and will definitely come back for a longer period, since the surroundings a beautiful for hikings etc.

Everything was great. Cleanliness and order in the house. Everything is provided for the guests. Warm and cozy. Beautiful authentic places and the beauty of the mountains. An interesting farm with many animals. Hospitable hosts and farm workers. At the same time, you can buy local goods such as honey (very tasty), herbal tea, knitted items. Next year we will definitely stay in the house again.
