Location, views and size of apartment. Having cereal etc left was very helpful Very well heated.

− Some area poor repair as broken and or chipped but took photos including dishes chipped. Found dog hairs over window area which set family member off on sneezing fits. Did not use fridge as strong rotten odour in it. Never met any owners it was just a keypad but they did text code day before. Carpets full of crumbs on entering thel stairs. Feels need general refurb.

Die Wohnung selbst hat uns insgesamt gut gefallen. Sie ist ordentlich eingerichtet, sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen Aufenthalt benötigt. Auch die Betten waren bequem, sodass wir gut geschlafen haben. Insgesamt ist die Wohnung für einen Aufenthalt gut geeignet und bietet alles Notwendige. Mit einer Lösung für das Geruchsproblem im Bad sowie einer einfachen Sitzgruppe auf der Terrasse ließe sich das Gästeerlebnis jedoch deutlich verbessern.

− Leider gab es jedoch einen Punkt, der den Gesamteindruck deutlich getrübt hat: Im Badezimmer herrschte ein sehr unangenehmer Geruch, der kaum zu ertragen war. Offensichtlich wurde versucht, diesen mit einem versteckten elektronischen Duftstecker zu überdecken. Das führte allerdings eher dazu, dass sich die Gerüche vermischten und die Situation noch unangenehmer wurde. Etwas enttäuschend war außerdem die große Terrasse. Bei einer so großzügigen Außenfläche hätten wir zumindest eine Sitzgelegenheit erwartet, um sie auch nutzen zu können. Leider gab es keinerlei Möbel. Auch die Beschreibung mit dem „Blick in den Garten“ weckte bei uns andere Erwartungen. Tatsächlich handelt es sich um eine sehr kleine Rasenfläche von etwa 2 × 3 Metern mit einer Wäschespinne. Der eigentliche Ausblick geht überwiegend auf das Nachbarhaus, parkende Autos und einen Schotterplatz.

Clean, comfortable, warm , loads of extras, quiet location.

− Shower head kept falling off, didn't fit. Only fault.

Comfortable but ruined by noise from apartment above.

Location and ease of parking. Good size rooms.

− Bathroom, why is the shower not enclosed and shower drain not good enough to drain water away quickly enough. Shower head fitment too loose and should be rectified. No shelving for personal items and put a hook on the door for hanging your towel instead of the flimsy hooks that are currently supplied on the towel rack which are too small and the one next to the wall is impractical. Noise from apartment above totally unacceptable. You can hear people walking, water running and washing machine being used. Surely this must be a common complaint and should have been known when apartments completed, ruined our stay.

Nice place from where you can explore the Orkney Islands

Very comfortable and spacious space. Had everything we needed (washing machine was great). The selection of complimentary breakfast supplies and biscuits was lovely. A great place to stay for a few days. The close proximity to the ferry terminal was also a plus.

− The location is good to explore the islands but there is not much to do in the village. The house is a bit dated but was clean and everything was functional.
