The check-in with a code worked smoothly. The place had air conditioning and was decently equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed – enough dishes, a kettle, and even a rice cooker. The host clearly put effort into furnishing the apartment, and overall, it met our basic needs.

− Sleeping arrangements for four people were uncomfortable – two narrow double beds placed side by side weren't ideal for a group of friends. One of us had to sleep on the couch, and another in the middle where he kept sliding between the mattresses. The biggest issue was cleanliness: the place had a strong damp, musty smell, probably due to being a basement unit. It felt like there had been water damage in the past. Compared to other places we stayed at in Japan, this was by far the worst in terms of cleanliness – about 4/10. However, despite the odor and some dirt in the space, the bed linens and towels were clean, which we appreciated. We knew we were choosing budget accommodation, and it served its purpose, but the smell made it feel like we were staying in a cellar.
