Very clean. Nice touches with toilet roll bow and welcome basket of snacks. Privacy as no one else on site. Saw grey squirrel, hares and deer on site whilst there which was nice. WiFi and ability to use fire stick. Useful location for getting into Edinburgh by train, and exploring the Fife coast and St Andrews.

− Shower was ridiculously small. Ice box too small for even basic supplies and no good for self-catering. Leaked water from the ice, although did stay cool for 3 days which was good. Trunking for wire slipping above door would be easily sorted. Outside had been dug up for new cables but there was mud, and rubbish everywhere that hadn’t been picked up. The site did not meet expectations on what a ‘nature retreat’ should look like. Some effort on the external landscaping to make it more attractive would improve the location no end. The entrance with barbed wire, dog warning signs, rubble and cameras everywhere made it looked like we were entering a gypsy compound. The entrance sets the tone on arrival. Some road and aeroplane noise as seem to be in Edinburgh flight path meant it wasn’t a completely quiet site. Having to use combination lock to get in and out of the site each time.

Pod was absolutely gorgeous and had everything we needed. Loved the firepit especially ❤️

− We personally felt a TV would of been more suitable in pods rather than projector although this didn't stop us from loving our time there ❤️

Peaceful night away

Very unique and peaceful. The little basket with Irn Bru and teacakes was a lovely touch

− The water was cold and took time to get a heat in it, which I understand. A bit more thorough cleaning required as there was no place to put waste.

Comfy, cosy and peaceful

Very peaceful and quiet. I liked that there are only two cabins so plenty of privacy and space. The cabins were very comfortable and slightly bigger than we thought (my partner is 6’4 so was high enough inside for him ☺️) only improvement, personally, would be a nicer drive up to the cabins but that didn’t affect my stay at all. Loved the fire pit.

The unit itself is comfortable and had everything you need.

− It wasn't quite as remote as we thought and there's another unit. It was very rough walking through the forest and no good for our dog. The projector is a cool thought but everything we put something on it just froze so we gave up.

Absolutely wonderful !

This was a wonderful night away, had everything you needed and we got to take our 7 month old puppy away for his first staycation. It was very easy to access and the cabin was fantastic. Can’t recommend this little get away enough! Lovely local walks and perfect outside area for sitting round the fire.
