Terrific hosts, peaceful rural location, the night sky was filled with stars and enjoyed the walk along the roads near manor house.

I’m sure Tilly and Kerry, who are the best sort of hosts, chuckle at being called Staff! The tiny house is at the back of theirs, and is really rural and quiet, yet very close to good roads to access east Cornwall and west Devon. Apartment is really thoughtfully and practically designed. Lovely outside sofa for sunsets, and we especially enjoyed the sail which Kerry put up to give some shade for the outdoor sofa. The new pillar fan was good, too , although it began to sound a bit tired in the heatwave what with being on all night and half the day….I hope we didn’t break it!

− You do have to eat and watch telly sitting in the bed, if you can’t get outside because of adverse weather. But we enjoyed watching farming operations outside instead! Tiny kitchen, although it has everything, with fridge in the larder, which doesn’t have a light so it’s not easy to see what you’ve got in there. A cupboard light would be helpful? Fridge light seems to be broken and would help if it did work. Very narrow road access if you take the sat-nav recommended “unsuitable for vehicles over 7’” option. You can take the left fork at the purple cottage instead, which takes you on a longer but wider way around.

Little Trenoweth In the heat of a Cornish summer, Little Trenoweth was far from our Madding Crowd. Beautiful rolling countryside with hidden valleys, trails and shorelines. All this, a step down from our expansive comfy patio with its panoramic views. Dark silent night-time sky's entertain with celestial star shows. Tilly & Kerry were the perfect hosts, with a comprehensive arrival brief but then unseen unless called. Little Trenoweth was very clean and comfy with all the amenities for a self catering stay. We brought all we needed as there are no shops, pubs, post offices on your door step. Its a true get-away and we won't hesitate to return. Five star!!
