10.0Lovely lunch here. Food was delicious and well presented. Highly recommend. Warm and cosy and beautiful setting with the lights all around. Lovely fire too. 👌

10.0Had a fantastic meal with my family tonight. Lots of local ingredients and plenty of choice. Would definitely recommend - friendly staff, great atmosphere and yummy food! Home made sauces, pies and a delicious scotch egg starter.
Great characterful hotel
10.0Lovely old hotel with loads of character. The meals were excellent and very reasonably priced. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and attentive .
Cosy,inviting hotel.
10.0Stayed many times at this hotel but a first staying at New Year and booked again for this year.We had a package including breakfast,afternoon tea-one of the best I’ve ever had ,all home made,excellent.Buffet on New Year’s Day again couldn’t fault,either hot or cold food.One of the owners made us feel as if we’d always known him and couldn’t have been more friendly.Room 15 was facing high street,lovely seating area,jacuzzi bath and shower.Highly recommend this hotel.
Idyllic highland get away with everything
10.0I had a wonderful stay at The George Hotel in Inveraray. The hotel is full of charm and character, but still incredibly comfortable. My room was cosy and spacious, with a deep bath and a fireplace, which made it the perfect place to relax. I also really appreciated how accommodating the team were — I needed to add an extra night at short notice, and they went out of their way to rearrange things so I could stay in a room with a fireplace as I’d requested. The bar and restaurant downstairs had a great atmosphere, with excellent food and even some live music in the evening. The Sunday roast was amazing! I had the lamb. The location is ideal as well, right in the heart of town and easy to explore on foot. I’d happily stay here again and would definitely recommend it.
Very good food, but………
8.0Arrived here on a Sunday for a late lunch. Food was really good. We both had the fish & chips and weren’t disappointed. My only gripe is the discretionary tip they add onto the bill (12.5%) I think. I know it’s discretionary but who is going to ask for it to be taken off, that would just be embarrassing! I always tip for good service, but I would like to decide myself without being prompted, thank you!
