Great Lake view holiday house for family

The kitchen facilities have everything we need. The oven and the stove top were in great condition. The decking has stunning lake view. The bathroom was new and large. The host provided cooking oil, coffee machine and a few coffee pots, and a 1L milk in the fridge, which made our stay so convenient.

Lovely renovated and modern property inside, fabulous views, comfortable beds and beautiful bathroom/laundry. Kitchen was nice but a few basics missing such as grater, peeler, salad bowls. However also very generous with coffee pods, tea, basic clingwrap, paper towel and detergents for washing machine.

− We were advised the property was ready at 2pm, at 5pm we arrived and 3 teenagers were cleaning the apartment. Initially we were surprised the exterior of the property still needed a lot of work. The owners reside in adjoining house next door, we heard arguments and screaming. The kids asked us to come back in one hour, we waited out the front. When the apartment was ready and we walked in it was obvious the shower and floors had not been cleaned, some of the linen although clean was stained, and there was hair, dust, food and flies on floor. We requested a clean and the eldest teenager very friendly obliged. We said we will be back in an hour and went to do groceries. When we returned, it was obvious the cleaning was not done. We knocked on the nextdoors (owners) and were advised to contact management, I explained Tilly the daughter did not clean the apartment. Requested a vacuum and mop to clean it. The initial greeting was not friendly, and by this stage around 7pm I am sure I wasn't happy either. We were not able to reach the Management. Bill offered to wash the floors, and then apologised and said he would pop over with a mop and vacuum. We were offerred a refund for the trouble and apology advising a family member was in hospital. We insisted on cleaning the floors and shower. After the initial upsetting night, we went onto enjoy the place and the weeks stay. However, after leaving it we realised we had left a wallet and personal belongings. We were not able to reach Bill the owner initially and spoke with Lisa and Rebecca the accommodation Management. They were extremely unprofessional, refused to allow a family member to collect the items, and advised the items had been dropped to the police station. We finally reached Bill the owner and he confirmed he had the items and we could arrange collection the next day. Overall it's a shame, we did not receive a credit and just wanted to enjoy the location.

Nice, but a little too far to walk to town

The house was clean and modern and had all the facilities required. The view was nice.

− There were builders working in the house diagonal to us so was noisy from 8am till 3pm. The police were called as they thought we broke into the house. It was a bit far and to steep to walk into town. Hard to get into driveway, need to clear the plants for access.

A clean, modern, well laid-out holiday unit. Would highly recommend.

Location was great and afforded wonderful views of the lake and the mountain from the back deck. Although not within close walking distance to mid-town it was only a short drive. All the facilities were obviously new with a number of extra special touches such as the fresh flowers in the living area.

− The only negative was the clear glass door leading from the bathroom/laundry to the outside deck. This caused a problem with lack of privacy. A blind or tinted glass would have eliminated this problem.

Great nice renovated duplex house. Very comfortable.

Beautifully renovated . Great Verandah with amazing view. BBQ and outdoor setting. Modern bathroom huge shower. TV in the bedroom have access to Netflix on the main TV. Wifi too!

− Needs a blind on the glass bathroom door and bathroom window. Needs a bit of yard work. Outside of the house needs a genie clean.
