Lovely apartment, well positioned, kind and friendly host - beautiful gardens and pets

Frank our host was friendly and helpful giving us recommendations of places to go and Portuguese wine to drink. The greens were charming, with fruit trees, mature plants and colourful flowers. The place had a cat, friendly dogs and chicken and ducks roaming around - It felt like a small farm with all mod cons. It was great to have such a fully stocked kitchen and washing machine. Outdoor spaces were shared with other apartments, but everyone was very friendly and happy to be there.

− It was a very slight walk to town - but nothing that was an effort and Ubers were cheap anyway

The apartment in the lower part of the house was a fantastic place to spend a vacation. It comes with a huge, lush garden full of trees — and even some free‑running chickens, which gave the place a charming, countryside feel. The large terrace and the lawn were perfect for relaxing in the sun or enjoying a meal at the outdoor table. Having direct access to the parked car was also very convenient. The location couldn’t be better: very close to the inner city, yet wonderfully peaceful. The apartment itself was spacious and offered a high level of comfort. I can highly recommend this place.

Our favorite place we stayed over the course of an 8-week trip. Frank is awesome.

7 dogs live here! But incredibly beautiful and convenient home

Frank is absolutely lovely! Such a nice guy and was very friendly. He was so understanding when I mistakenly thought to checkout at 11 (it was supposed to be 10). And has been very communicative and kind with me. The house is beautiful with a stunning yard and pool. And so close to the beach! A 6 minute drive to Meia Praia! They provided pool floaties and beach towels. LOVE that they have a washer to use, and pots and pans to cook. Overall, amazing value.

− Not exactly “tranquil”. And definitely isn’t the “entire place is yours”. 2 people live in the home upstairs with 7 dogs, 1 cat and like 15 chickens. My dog gets along well with others, but when I read “dog friendly”, I was definitely not expecting 4 dogs to run at him barking. LOTS of barking every time I stepped outside. I just wish I had been warned that this wasn’t a private place. It’s a place shared with 7 dogs, a cat and a bunch of chickens (and for my hunting dog, this meant I had to manage him every time he wanted to go outside as to protect the chickens! Not peaceful) I’m surprised the reviews didn’t say anything about their dogs. Yes they’re sweet, but the little ones are very loud and at one point all 4 chased my dog into the rental space! The host apologized but said when my dog ran, his chased. I picked this home for tranquility and privacy. I was so interested in this place because of the pool but didn’t feel entirely comfortable using it because I was expecting to be alone. The shower is a little icky.. the water doesn’t drain. There are many many ants in the kitchen (but that’s Portugal in the late summer - not much they could have done). The sockets are falling out of the walls too. But everything else was wonderful.
