Regrettable and unfortunate.
2.0The location was suitable as we were at a week long tournament at the South Pine Sports Complex.
− It was very dodgy budget accommodation at a premium price. The owners had done an incompetent DIY renovation to make money from their small house. None of the blinds worked, the beds were very low and hard (too low for my mum to get in and out of only a mattress height from the floor) and no sheets , pillows very empty and cheap, no products including dish towels or cleaning detergents or cleaning products. Also they hadn’t cleaned properly from the previous guests. There were breast milk pouches in the fridge, Easter eggs and biscuits under the beds, no surfaces were wiped over and the table on the back deck was dow on the grass covered in dirt. The sofa was not a foldout and the listing as 4 beds is a lie. Luckily we only needed to spend minimal time at the property otherwise we would definitely have left and complained earlier. I am very wary of ever using booking.com again which is unfortunate as I travel a lot. I spent the week sneezing and I’m allergic to dust and mould so it’s very likely it’s not a safe place to stay.

− My reservation for December 24–28, 2026, made in July 2026, was ruined by the property’s condition on arrival. The place was a mess, and I was extremely disappointed. I had to cancel the booking on the day, which was very stressful.

− Low beds, Air conditioner broken, blind broken and no instructions for induction stove top.

6.0− The house was still under construction, definitely not finished in any way. The beds were very very low to the ground, not good for bad backs and knees. The shower head in the ensuite was way too big for the small shower. Obviously money has been spent on the fittings etc but the renovation was not done well at all.
