The location , the breakfast , the staff , the restaurant food , the room and the bed is super comfy , the hidden garden is fabulous

− Turn down service poor Water should be replenished each day on my opinion it’s on request - I’m sure they have a reason

Wonderful stay in a great location, with a lovely atmosphere and beautiful interior. The breakfast in the garden was a real highlight, and the staff were polite, welcoming, and attentive. Having a private deck where you can take a water taxi adds to the unique Venetian experience and makes the stay feel truly special.

− There was an unpleasant smell in both rooms. Considering the price, I think something should be done to prevent sewage-like smells in the rooms. We reserved two rooms on different floors, and unfortunately, both had a strong unpleasant odor, very similar to stagnant water or sewage that did not disappear after use of AC.

A truly exceptional hotel in Venice. The interiors are beautiful, distinctive and full of character, making the Metropole feel like much more than just a place to stay. I would definitely recommend choosing a room overlooking the canal — the view adds enormously to the whole Venetian experience. What really sets the hotel apart, however, is the service. The concierge team deserves a special mention: everything was handled flawlessly and at the highest possible level, from excellent recommendations and restaurant arrangements to organising private water taxis whenever we needed them. Every request was dealt with quickly, professionally and with genuine attention to detail. Even the smaller touches, such as arranging champagne in the room, were executed perfectly. This is the kind of service that makes a great hotel memorable. An outstanding stay from beginning to end, and a hotel we would gladly return to.

− Dark public spaces. Lifts did not go to room. Dangerous broken handrails on dark staircase
