The location was great for us!

− Not everything in the room worked well.

I certainly would not recommend nor come back.

Breakfast hours did not work for us.

− The room cleanliness, odor and overall upkeep was subpar at best. I have never had this sort of experience at a Homewoods Suites and im well traveled. As a traveling nurse Homewood suites are usually my first go to with all my travel ventures, after this stay I have second thoughts on that. Some of the staff were not welcoming and sounded annoyed with my complaints which were very valid as unacceptable. 1st room smelled so bad of dirty carpet it was unbearable in addition to a good sized, very obvious bug flying around the room. 2nd room smelled better however wasn't cleaned thoroughly. Something that must've spilled on the dresser where the TV sat was still there. The bathroom door took some serious muscle to open and close the door. The dishes were not clean. We just dealt with it bc the staff weren't apologetic of our issues and made us feel as if we were the problem for having better expectations. Especially with the brand and cost we expected more, unfortunately it felt more like a Motel 6...which I've never stayed in, in my life!!

− Maybe just a little expensive, but it’s a major city so I get it. Honestly, would stay again.

Great Location, But the Hotel Needs Improvement

The suite had several maintenance issues, including lights that were not working, peeling tape around the door, and a cracked cooktop. The room felt like it needed more attention and upkeep, which made our stay less comfortable. The breakfast was also disappointing. The selection was very limited, and the food quality was not what we expected. We also did not feel very welcomed during our stay. The staff did not seem very attentive to guests' needs, and the overall service experience could have been much better. The positive side is the location-the hotel is a short walk to Lake Michigan and nearby attractions, which was convenient. Overall, the location is great, but the room condition, breakfast, and service need improvement. We would not choose to stay here again.
