My experience at Courtyard by Marriott New York Manhattan/Central Park was an absolute nightmare. Getting to the room on Level 30 required using elevators where 3 out of 4 were completely out of order, forcing guests to wait up to 30 minutes just for a lift. Once you finally get on, the elevators shake so violently it genuinely feels like you're going to die. This terrifying ride triggered a severe medical vertigo episode, making it impossible and unsafe for me to stay in the room. I returned to the front desk less than two hours after arrival (checked in at 4:06 PM, checked out at 5:47 PM) to return the keys. Front desk staff (Clerk AMT) was empathetic on-site, explicitly assured me the stay was cancelled with a 100% full refund due to the medical emergency, and handed me an official folio showing a $0.00 balance (Folio 63241). However, management (Jazmin Almodovar) completely went back on their staff’s word. When Booking.com contacted the hotel to process the refund release, management refused to confirm the waiver. Retaining over $1,200 USD for a 5-night stay where the elevators are broken, unsafe, and caused a medical emergency—and where I was in the building for under 100 minutes—is predatory. Be warned: this property does not care about guest safety, infrastructure maintenance, or basic business ethics. I have filed a formal bank chargeback for services not rendered. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

− Pas de chambre mise à disposition pour se changer pour 1 départ tardif Le seul endroit mis à disposition sont les toilettes situées au niveau 4 : franchement pas l'idéal surtout apres avoir passé 1 séjour de 7 nuits 😡
