Great location but needs a bit of polish

The location is amazing- very close to everything and the perfect area for a hen do to stay. Despite being in the heart of the Bigg Market, the double windows blocked out the majority of the noise. The bathrooms were modern and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with glasses and plates. The staff were helpful and the check in / out process was very smooth. Also the price was fair and this was one of the only properties in the area that could host a large group.

− The flat itself needs some love- there were holes in the walls and the living room was a bit tired looking. It looked like university student accommodation. Some of the beds were quite uncomfortable and the sheets had some orange stains on them. Also, the wifi and TV didn’t work for the time that we were there. A new lick of paint and some nicer furniture/lighting would go a long way.

Great location, perfect for a stag party however that’s where the positives end

− The property was in a very poor state and is not fit for purpose. Many of the walls are covered in damp and mould and every room smells putrid as a result. Staying here is a genuine health hazard. Additionally, the showers are inadequate with low pressure and intermittent hot water. Toilets do not flush properly and one of the toilet doors does not lock. Not ideal. In the kitchen, the cupboards were hanging off the wall and a built in fridge missing. Maintenance cupboards were unsecured and open.

Great for groups lovely big kitchen living space clean comfy beds.

Made this last minute booking after going to another property that was terrible . We were a large family group attending a graduation the following morning . Considering this place is usually geared up for hen and stag party it ticked the boxes for me what we needed. Very clean . Very comfortable beds .

− There are a lot of stairs ( no lift challenges of listed building’s ) but convenient location to the city if you have the mobility.

Great location and layout. Hob didn’t work and showers were cold.

Location was really excellent

− No hot water after the first day. Booked the place with a kitchen so we could cook, but the hob didn’t work so food we’d bought for the hob was unnecessary
