− DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. Based on my experience, I felt like I had been scammed. I strongly recommend being VERY careful with this hotel, especially with the credit card you provide them. After my stay, I was shocked to find a $500 charge on my credit card because the hotel claimed that I had smoked inside the room. I made it absolutely clear that I DO NOT SMOKE and strongly disputed their accusation. Nevertheless, the hotel refused to refund the money, claiming that a sensor had detected smoking-related activity in the room. Even worse, the problem did not end with the $500 smoking fee. OTHER CHARGES started appearing on my credit card. So, even after disputing the alleged smoking fee, I continued to find additional charges from the hotel on my card. I am now having to dispute these transactions with my bank and seek assistance from Booking.com. After everything that happened, I genuinely feel like I fell victim to some kind of scam. I find it extremely concerning that a hotel can make multiple charges to a guest’s credit card and then leave the guest having to fight with their bank and other companies to try to recover the money. The service was also terrible. Some members of the staff were rude and showed very little willingness to help resolve the situation. On top of that, the room itself had maintenance issues, including a shower that was leaking water. My recommendation is simple: DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. If you decide to stay here anyway, carefully monitor every single charge made to your credit card during your stay and, especially, AFTER you check out. I would NEVER stay at The Gallivant Times Square again. Based on my personal experience, I consider the way these charges were handled completely unacceptable, and the entire situation made me feel as though I had been the victim of a scam. I am currently disputing the charges and pursuing the appropriate channels to protect my rights.

Very central location, close to lots of things we wanted to do! Housekeeping staff were also lovely and helpful!

− The air con worked but it wasn’t very powerful, which isn’t great in the summer. We also couldn’t get the WiFi to work for us at any point during our stay.
