* The Standard Triple Room (one queen, two single beds) provided adequate space, quiet sleep conditions, and acceptable garden view noise levels. * Bathrooms were clean with basic maintenance; air conditioning cooled properly but lacked the ability to power off completely. * Pools and Aqua Park got broad variety of slides and clean pool facilities suitable across child age categories. * Pool water is unheated; extreme resort occupancy creates an ongoing struggle to secure sun loungers. * Dining and food are clean, well-prepared meals with reliable variety, including vegetarian and child-oriented food. * Multiple daily restaurant options with rotating dinner barbecues and dependable snack bar options (pizza, burgers, chicken). * Shuttle operates every 10 minutes. * The designated second-line resort beach area is cramped with limited loungers; beachfront water is shallow and fairly clean. * Life guards, housekeeping and dining staff performed exceptionally well with polite, cooperative service.

− As a returning guest on my fourth visit to Pickalbatros properties in Hurghada, this stay demonstrated that frontline service competence is entirely undermined by a corporate finance culture that treats customer loyalty with bad faith and opportunistic greed. A minor booking oversight listed a 12-year-old child as 11 on a 1900€ all-inclusive family reservation. Management enforced (Excessive Surcharge) a 919€ surcharge -a 48% penalty on the total reservation- for zero additional physical infrastructure, bedding, or room keys, claiming the child required a standalone adult rack rate. We were already checked in and in our room when this administrative dispute peaked. I could have refused payment outright and forced an operational impasse on the hotel's procedural fault. Instead, acting in good faith and wishing to avoid conflict after exhausting international travel, I paid immediately under the assumption that management would review the clear calculation error professionally and amicably. Cooperating calmly proved to be a mistake; management interpreted compliance as weakness and stonewalled any fair adjustment. Days of our family holiday were consumed pursuing front office staff, scheduling meetings with reception managers, and waiting on promised consultations with sales and finance. After dragging out the process across multiple days, management delivered a complete refusal, confirming that corporate finance prioritized extracting 919€ over retaining a long-term customer. - There are however pending formal escalations: * This dispute will be escalated directly to Booking.com Senior Partner Relations for undisclosed on-site rack-rate penalties. * Also, a formal regulatory complaint will be filed with the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism regarding arbitrary tariff enforcement on captive international guests. * This complete case documentation will be shared publicly across German and European travel consumer forums and social media.

We had an amazing holiday at Pickalbatros Aqua Park Hotel! From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent and every member of staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The hotel is spotlessly clean throughout, and you can tell the team takes real pride in keeping everything well maintained. There are so many facilities to enjoy – the aqua park is brilliant fun for all ages, and the vast amount of pools around the resort means you never struggle to find a spot to relax. The restaurants offer a huge variety of food, and everything we tried was full of flavour. The entertainment was also really good, with plenty going on to keep everyone entertained. We couldn't have asked for a better holiday and will definitely be back. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so memorable!
