Disappointing: overpriced and poorly located.
6.0Pleasant stay but it did not meet expectations. The onsen had a fantastic view.
− Despite the hype, this hotel lacked a few things: 1) The location is suboptimal (it’s not close to the heart of Shinjuku, and Shinjuku should probably be avoided unless you want westernised, cheap, chaotic nightlife). 2) The hotel is overpriced! The room was very minimalist, with small towels, no space to unpack clothes and few amenities. 3) The stay felt impersonal. For example, you check in and out on a computer screen and there was no efficient concierge service. This is what I expected from a Ryokan. 4) There were no real communal areas other than the onsen. 5) Although warned about the ongoing construction, it was visually disruptive.

− We could not eat at the restaurant due to constructions which means that we had to look for a breakfast + dinner spot everyday. It hasn’t been made clear to us in prior.

− La habituación es standard es muy muy pequeña no hay ni sitio para poner una maleta. Es muy justa para dos personas. Con el precio que tiene no lo veo normal.
