Didn't think hotel did enough for inconvenience of not meeting booking requirements

Location is close to restaurants and cafes is the only thing I would say. See issues with hotel.

− We booked two hotel rooms that were supposed to be near each other on higher floors, but neither room matched the reservation. We arrived early and waited while the rooms were prepared, which was fine since we walked around the city. However, although we asked staff to call when one room was ready, we never received a call or text. When we returned to the hotel, the first room was on the first floor, smelled strongly of weed, and had one double bed and one twin instead of the three twin beds we booked. Staff said it was the only room available, so we had to wait again while it was rearranged and cleaned. The “cleaning” seemed to be only spraying the room to cover the smell, which did not work. The lobby also smelled strongly of weed several times during our stay. The hotel credited us for one night, but that did not feel like enough for the inconvenience. The second room was on the third floor, far from the first room despite our request for nearby rooms, and it was very small. With many other hotels in the area, I would choose a different place before staying here again.

Location excellent- about 10-15 min walk from train station. Room very comfortable and clean. Staff very helpful and friendly. Lovely bar area. Very quick lift.

It was quiet. Tea making facilities in the room. Bath and shower lovely. Having an opening window as well as air conditioning. There was a bar downstairs.

− Room advertised as garden view, but it turned out to be roof views! Room was very cramped, so difficult to put suitcases out, difficult to move around. The bathroom extractor did not work, so stuffy. And was expensive. It was 10 mins from station. It had no restaurant, which when it was raining proved inconvenient.

We would happily stay there again!

It was close to both the train station and popular places to visit. There was a grocery store nearby, and there were many good restaurants within walking distance. The hotel was quiet, and the bed was comfortable. We appreciated the air conditioning. There was a coffee maker in the room. We enjoyed having a drink at the bar after a busy day of sightseeing. The folks at the front desk were great about holding our luggage before check-in and were happy to arrange a cab when we departed.
