10.0Absolutely delightful! Fir Trees Guesthouse is in the perfect location, right in the middle of Windermeer and Bowness, in a quiet location close to the ferry for those wanting to see Beatrice Potter, Hilltop farm. The Inn keepers, Tim and his wife Vickie are such lovely people willing to help with whatever you might need. The guest house is beautiful, as well as very clean!! We loved our stay.

10.0Tim and Vicki were absolutely wonderful hosts. This was one of the best stays of our trip. Their bed and breakfast is lovely, clean and spotless, and we loved the personal touches in the room, including the claw foot tub. The personalized breakfast was amazing, and Tim was so helpful in helping us find a last minute tour. Our first experience with a B & B, we loved the area and our stay in the Lake District. We would love to return!

10.0From the moment we arrived till the time we left, we were made to feel very welcome! Wonderfully run guest house, the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The room was a good size, clean and tidy, and the bathroom was very nice too. The breakfast was great especially the pancakes! 😄 Not sure when I’ll visit again but I will and I’d definitely stay here again and recommend it. Great location within walking distance to Windermere and to Bowness. Thank you to the staff, appreciated your warm hospitality.
Short stay in windermere
10.0Easy to find and plenty of parking. Really helpful hosts providing lots of details on what to do and where to go, also very accommodating, even provided is with an HDMI cable so we could link our computer to the TV to watch netflix. Lovely home cooked flapjack in our room each day and more by reception to help ourselves. Rooms nicely furnished and spacious. Breakfasts are really great, we had a full english every day. Great location being almost equidistant between Bowness and Windermere town. We really enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to the next tine we can visit.
