The staff at the lodge - Gladys, Rose, Daniel and Peter are absolutely amazing.
9.0Breakfast was delicious. Staff delightful. The trek from the lodge to the nearby stunningly beautiful watefall was absolutely amazing - but only do it if you're in relatively good shape.
− The lodge could have better flying fishing rods. If you want to do this, definitely bring your own!
easy and relaxing.
8.0serene environment. beautiful surroundings. scenic and tranquil getaway.
− the road there is very challenging. having no tvs in the room is a bit rare and frustrating in this modern era. the limited menu was a bit offputing
Disappointing
4.0Stunning views
− When we arrived the staff couldn’t reassure us that guided walk was available the next day - guide was due in later but we weren’t told this - we cut short our stay to make alternative arrangements unnecessarily No hot water for showers Clean but all a bit unkempt
Warm friendly hospitality with very helpful staff.
7.0Very friendly staff who were very attentive and helpful. Nice view down the valley over some rural farms and tea plantations. Good birdlife from the lodge.
− The road outside was noisy in the morning with buses honking to call passengers. Beds were simple foam and needed replacement. Rough road to get to the lodge.
We really enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to the next time!
10.0A guesthouse nestled in a beautiful landscape. We thank Rosemary, Gladys, Peter, and Daniel for their wonderful hospitality and delicious food! We're already looking forward to our next visit.
− We really enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to the next time!
Good
7.0It's a lovely place with nice food and staff. The morning views of Mt Kenya and the tea-covered valley were awesome.
− Make sure you have a vehicle with good ground clearance.
