We had a wonderful time

Location, amenities and excellent service

Lack of a ceiling fan in the villa. Not enough hanging fixtures for towels. Would be more user friendly with curtains if they could be opened in the middle to access the door and light switches more easily.

Overpriced, underwhelmed, robbed

1.0

The fridge was cold

Overpriced. Underwhelmed. Not really a spa retreat the whole stay was stressful. Couldn't get a massage. The pool is not private, it's on display infront of the main restaurant. Which not only can't serve an egg cooked properly but we also found out that getting room service would cost $10 per plate. For 700 a night I expected sheer luxury. NO instead we got dirty yellow pillows inside missed matched pillow cases from Ikea. None of the linen smelt clean. Upon arrival we found a note bluetacked to the wall claiming a $150 FINE if we were to be caught smoking anywhere on the grounds other than the designated area next to the outdoor dining at the restaurant. Only allowed 1gb of data per day on their wifi. Paid 160 for a welcome package which merley consisted of a box of old chocolates and stale lollies dumped into a cardboard box with a warm beer. $40 for a cheese board which was pathetic considering all of the local produce on their door step it. was just stale crackers and supermarket cheese and dry bland gerkins. No hot water in the bathroom vanity sinks. Stupidly every time you would leave the room you had to pull back a curitian that ran the entire length of the room to get to the door. Mirrored tint meant that if you had the curtain open at night anyone could see into the room clear as HD. The same issue with the main light switch for the room being behind a curtain that had to drawn back exposing the entirety of the room to common view to be accessible. The decor fittings and furniture were cheap tacky and out dated. And so after spending $2350 on 3 nights with breakfast included(my 10yr old could have done better) We were also then charged $700 in extra fees for things that any other establishment wouldn't even think of charging for. Amaroo retreat is nothing but a bunch of corrupt criminals that have no clue how to run such a place. As if they did a 3 minute google research. Disgusted

Beautiful, relaxing and luxurious

Beautiful surroundings being in the bush. Having complete relaxation

Our villa was beside the road so it wasn’t completely private or secluded and neighbours and people walking would say hello while we were on our balcony. There was a screen but only covered a little bit of the road. I thought it was completely secluded for total privacy and that is what I paid for.
