Charming stay with friendly hosts.
10.0The property is about half way between Windermere and Bowness on Windermere and each place was very walkable, if you didn’t mind an hill. There was a regular bus service which we used both day and in the evening. Our hosts were lovely, nothing was too much trouble and they gave is plenty of information about the surrounding area. The room was vey clean, comfortable, quiet and well furnished. The bathroom was modern with plenty of space to put your toiletries. Delicious cake was waiting for us on the hospitality tray. There was plenty to choose from at breakfast. The breakfast was beautifully cooked and presented.

10.0Diese Unterkunft ist wirklich außergewöhnlich. So wie man es sich vorstellt. Viele kleine Details ergeben einwunderschnes Gesamtbild. Das Zimmer und das Bad waren groß genug und sher sauber. Das Frühstück war excellent und man durfte sich sogar üfür den Tag eine Keinigkeit mitnehmen. Der Emfang war sehr herzlich und wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen. Sofort wurdenw ir mit Details zur Region und guten Tipps versorgt. Auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung!

Wonderful accommodation and hosts, really helpful local knowledge
10.0Ivythwaite Guesthouse provides exceptional accommodation with warm and friendly hosts Andrew & Abigail. Breakfast was a highlight of the day with many choices available. A variety of restaurants can be reached within easy walking distance at either Windermere or Bowness. We really valued the local knowledge of our hosts on so many topics, particularly when we drove to the remote Hardknott Roman Fort in the Lake District National Park.
