8.0Location - less than 2 miles out of Thirsk town centre with scenic views. Had the added pleasure of countryside smells as unfortunately the nearby farmer had been muck spreading 😂 - however an electric fan had been provided in the room so we didn't have to open the window. Friendly welcome on arrival with all the info needed to get the best out of our stay, including dining facilities/arrangements, staff availability & check out procedure. We didn't use the bar or restaurant during our 1 night stay so unable to comment re menu, service, facilities etc Nice clean & crisp bed linen & comfy bed. A hand towel & bath towel provided for each of us , unlike a similar well known budget friendly hotel , + a bath mat. Tea & coffee facilities in the room which although needed an update re furnishings & paintwork, was roomy & clean.
− There was nothing we didn't like - as mentioned above, a few changes would be welcomed & we didn't use the dining or bar facilities so unable to comment on those.
