Beautiful apartment, Check In process was not convenient

Beautiful apartment, nice and clean. Quiet area away from crowds, but only a 10 minute walk to everything. The check in process needs to be changed. You have to pick up keys and give your passport information at a location across town from where the apartment is located. This means dragging your luggage with you back and forth from the water taxi dock, to check in and then back to the apartment. We took the water taxi from the airport and the stop in Venice is close to the apartment. Unfortunately to get the keys you have to go across town and over multiple bridges with stairs to get to it. They really need to provide a service that meets you at the apartment location with the keys instead of making you drag your luggage back and forth around town.

The location excellent in a quiet location but an easy walk to everywhere. The apartment was great and full of Venetian character.

Flott leilighet i rolig nabolag. Kort vei til butikker og restauranter. Leiligheten var velholdt, ren og greit utstyrt. Vi spiste bare frokost i leiligheten, men det var litt utstyr til å lage middager. Vaskemaskin til å vaske klær kommer godt med, spesielt om sommeren. Leiligheten ligger ca. 15 minutters gange fra Rialtobroen, og bare få minutter fra et utvalg restauranter. God plassering med tanke på utflukter til f.eks. Burano eller Lido, med båtavganger bare to minutter unna. Anbefales til familier.

Finding the place to check in for the property was extremely difficult. The property was okay nothing fancy. Three-quarters of the lightbulbs were burnt out in the bathroom. The location was good and it was near a grocery store.

Sadly it has been a horrible experience, my first incident was while asking the hotel if they offer a parking space or can recommended a place nearby, their answer was “you book an apartment not a hotel.. parking is near”, finally I meet the at an office / reception (under construction, dirty, without signs to reach them) and they were very persistent on selling tours, boat tickets, and as many tourist activities available. After arriving at the “apartment” it was disappointing, place was totally different from pictures, dirty, broken mirror in the only bathroom, fridge hinge broken, 2 blown light bulbs out of 3 in the bathroom as other small things. I do trust Orbitz but in this occasion they failed to do their research and homework.
