6.0This is not deserving of a five stars! I really wish I had went elsewhere. On check in no information was given about anything! Our room was small and adequate I suppose but there were stains on the furniture and upholstery/rugs. The waste bin was full of gunk. My biggest bugbear was the air con. When London is in a heatwave why not have the air con on ready for our arrival ? Our room was stifling and we had to get a fan which was so noisy . I noticed the air con was centrally set to 21 which wasn’t cool enough for us and took ages to cool the room. We finally seemed to get the room cool after a couple of days, but we went out and when we returned the cleaner had switched off the air con …. so back to square one with a red hot room. Other things to note about this hotel. There are no full length mirrors in the room. No dressing table or mirrors to get ready in the bedroom. I couldn’t do my hair as the only mirror is in the bathroom. There are no hand towels in the bathroom. We looked forward to having a drink on return to the hotel but the bar is always closed early. There is no comfortable seating area apart from a couple of unsuitable seats in reception. Just no atmosphere! A disappointing stay for the expensive price.

10.0I booked into the Lalit hotel mainly because it was near to where I needed to be...but what a find. It is elegant, comfortable and welcoming. I had a lovely stay. The staff are so helpful and thoughtful. I mentioned that my visit was part of a birthday treat from my son. On arrival, there was a birthday cake & card waiting for me in my room. Next morning I had breakfast....a great choice on the buffet table and a choice of Indian or English breakfast. I chose the Indian and it was delicious. If I need to stay in London again ( I live only 40miles outside so I usually head home) I would love to stay at The Lalit hotel. Its a short walk from London Bridge Station so a very convenient location.

10.0I picked The Lalit London because it was near where I needed to be but I am so pleased to have discovered it. It was elegant, comfortable & relaxing. The staff were all attentive and welcoming. . The bedroom was cool and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious....there is a choice of Full English or Indian. I chose Indian and it was lovely....mild but really flavoursome. I enjoyed my stay very much and any time I need to stay in London I will stay here. A few minutes walk from London Bridge Station so very convenient location.
