I would not want to stay anywhere else in Tobago. The town of Castara is very small. Considering many of the other towns of Tobago are much larger, this is a town that you quickly learn everyone's name and they learn yours. The first thing about the Boatview Apartments they are perfect size for couples. A small kitchen, bed, and restroom. You don't need much else. The water is not heated for the shower, but really in the humidity and heat who cares. Cooling down and then sitting on the balcony is the way to go. The balcony overlooking the bay. It is a stunning little bay. The spacious deck has tropical birds and hummingbirds that visit all day long. It is an easy walk to the bay and to the restaurant called the Boat House. Wednesdays is a drum session at the Boat House. Thursdays down the beach is a steel drum session. The dinners are fresh and wonderful at the Boat House. I had the drink called Thinking Out Loud...Rum yum. Here is the best kept secrete to the experience...Sharon the owner. She is super kind and a wonderful hostess. This is place for a couples to experience. This is a place for those who want to skip the commercial large scale hotels. A place to spend time with the locals. PayPal is the way to pay for dinners and hotel. Yes American, UK, or TTs moneys are taken as well. Thank you Sharon for a wonderful experience. Beautiful ocean view, beautiful beach , comfortable accommodation, friendly owners! I will definitely stay again!
