As per Colombia's tax laws Foreign visitors and Colombian citizens currently living outside Colombia are tax-exempt (19% VAT) when receive a PIP3, PIP5, PIP6, PIP10, TP7, TP11 stamp or TP12 visa upon entry to the country. Exemption only applies to room package rates (accommodation plus service). Permit must be shown upon arrival. This tax is not automatically calculated in the total cost of the reservation. Underage should present valid ID card at the moment of check in. Please note that every minor must be accompanied by their identified parents or legal guardian. MINORS POLICY Minors must always be accompanied by an adult relative, in development of the provisions of Article 17 of Law 679 of 2001, the agency warns the tourist that the exploitation and sexual abuse of minors in the country are criminally and administratively punishable under Colombian law. All minors must present a valid identification document to check in at the Hotel (the documents accepted by the Hotel may vary in each case, but usually identity cards, passports and civil registries are accepted). In the event that the minor is not in the company of his/her parents during his/her stay, at the time of check-in, he/she must present his/her identification (identity card, passport and/or civil registry), a copy of his/her parents' identification and a letter of authorization signed and authenticated must be notarized or apostilled by both parents, expressly authorizing the adult present with the minor to check him/her in at the Hotel. This authorization must be original and must include:
● The minor’s full name and identification number.
● The full name and identification number of the person with whom the minor will be staying.
● The minor’s check-in and check-out dates at the hotel.
● The full name of the hotel.
