1.0− Our stay was okay overall, but there are several concerns worth noting. First, the property is located high up on a steep hill, which makes accessing the beach on foot during the hot summer months quite challenging. We found the walk back especially exhausting, although there is a shortcut through an olive grove that helps to some extent. Another issue was the host, Aris, who came across as less than welcoming. He closely monitors guests’ use of the air conditioning and keeps track of when you enter and leave the property. While he presents this as being for ecological reasons, it clearly appears to be financially motivated—especially considering how often you'll see him driving up and down the very hill guests struggle with! Also, don't expect any help with the local area here as the host has never been to a single one of the Tavernas! I would highly recommend going to Glafkos house with pool if you visit this part of Chania, you will leave with a totally different opinion of the area. It is fantastic there! If you would prefer a hotel-based stay Inea sole is hard to top!

7.0We enjoyed our stay at this apartment despite some issues. BUT we would like to point them out to warn others: Misleading description of the sea view from the room. It wasn't actually a sea view. Observing us through a CCTV camera and commenting on our activities in an accusory way regarding how we handled our rubbish bag... !!!! Air conditioning not working and functioning consistently. Aircon turning off automatically every time you open a door or window and leave the apartment so when you come back apartment is hot. Putting up the cost of the Room 5 days in for an extension to a higher amount than we paid on booking.com. Not delivering the requested double bed which they claim they were able to deliver (in writing). Just a mattress topper over two single beds. Insisting that a guest could stay on our sofa but they charged €60 for him to sleep on our sofa! Aggressively worded emails, showing a lack of empathy for clients needs. Lots of mosquitoes
