Minh Kieu 2 Hotel♡

Great stay, would recommend

Rooms were large and clean. Shampoo, body wash, comb and cotton buds. Bottled water daily. Kettle, fridge, tv and hairdryer. Bath Mat. Daily housekeeping available - just put the sign on your door. The housekeeping ladies were so lovely. Would get you anything you needed. Offered to clean our rooms even though it was not necessary. Quang (I believe is the manager) speaks perfect English. Other reception staff also friendly. Think the hotel has 5 floors operated by an elevator. We arrived on Phuong Trang bus from Can Tho 155k. Bus company had transfer vehicles to and from both hotels. Hotel doesn’t have motorbike rentals. We found Motorbike Rentals My Tho on google (check out my review). Parking for motorbike is in the large undercover parking lot opposite the hotel and is manned 24/7. Security also friendly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel.

Dirty, unpleasant and far away from given location

First of all, the location of the hotel on hotels.com is completely wrong - there are two Minh Kieu hotels in My Tho and neither are at this location. Minh Kieu 2 is several km north of given location. Need a taxi back and forth to town. The hotel was dark, gloomy and the atmosphere was like the hotel in «The Shining». The receptionists do not speak a word of english, as advertised they would. The room was of fair size and tiled nicely. The showercabinet was not clean and the bathroom smelled like sewage. The toiletries were leftovers from previous guests. The bed was rock hard, as common in cheaper places in the delta. The bedsheets had several stains and one of the pillowcases was severly torn. Slept in our silk sleepingbags. All requests to change room or sheets was agressively refused (conversation via google translate). Overall not at all as expected and for the money paid there are much better places in the area. Will not ever stay again.

Hotels.comの地図を見てできるだけ中心街にあるHotelにしたはずなのに、そこからタクシーで10〜15分離れた辺鄙な場所にありました。載っていた地図はミンキエウです。こちらはミンキエウ2です。とにかく場所で選んでいるため、夜に出かけるとき不便しました。ホテルは広くて綺麗です。

L'hôtel est mal situé sur la carte. Il montre le Minh Kieu qui est en ville alors que le Minh Kieu 2 est à 3km du centre ville, dans un quartier sans cafe ni restaurant. Lorsqu'on demande où on peut prendre le petit déjeuner, la personne de l'accueil répond "en ville" et prend le téléphone pour appeler un taxi. Notre chambre était sale et les meubles couverts de poussière, la salle de bain n'avait pas été nettoyée et les poubelles étaient pleines. Un mauvais souvenir dans ce pays où même les hotels les plus modestes sont impeccables. A FUIR !!!!
