Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstücksangebot war etwas ungewöhnlich. Käse, auch richtig Guten, gab es reichlich, aber Obst und Gemüse nur sehr wenig. Ein gemeinsamer Frühstücksraum mit den Bewohnern der Seniorenresidenz war ungewohnt aber auf keinen Fall negativ. Großes und unerwartetes Plus: Freifahrten mit dem ÖPNV. Die Freifahrten gelten nicht nur in St.Gallen sondern bis zum Bodensee, z.B. Rohrschach.

Clean and cozy hotel, friendly personnel, good breakfast - in general, very good quality - price ratio. And the location is surprisigly perfect - really 2 steps from the abbey.

Immer wenn ich mich nach St. Gallen begebe, halte ich mich, sofern verfügbar, im Hotel am Spisertor auf. Und dies schon seit Jahren. Kurzum, alles schlicht wunderbar!

affordable great hotel with great location

Was a great stay, was actually the cheapest hotel room from our stay in Europe that week, but was still very comfortable, amazing location, and free parking garage. breakfast was very basic, though, no hot foods. Also with parking they only allow exit once, so if you plan to come in and out you will have to pay extra. Check in very easy using mailbox outside with code that was sent to us.
