− Breakfast was horrible!Fake scrambled eggs from a box and OJ! Go to First Watch, the restaurant serves real eggs and OJ. Pancake seemed to be mixed with glue bcs. it sticks at roof of my mouth. The room is NOT quiet! We could hear LOUD noises (motor cycles, 18 wheelers and trucks) from the highway. It is much quieter outside than the room 🙄
An Outstanding Airport Hotel – Simply Exceptional
10.0Without doubt, this is the best Hilton-branded hotel I've stayed at anywhere in the USA. That includes LXR properties and full-service Hiltons, which, in my experience, are often looking a little tired. This hotel completely exceeded my expectations. The first thing that impressed us was the airport shuttle service. The drivers collected us promptly on request, the vehicle was spotless and well maintained, and the team were an absolute credit to the hotel. Nothing was too much trouble, and they went out of their way to help our group of six. The rooms were exceptionally clean, the beds were very comfortable, and, as someone who had a full day's work to get through while waiting for my family to arrive from London, I really appreciated finding a genuine Herman Miller Aeron chair at the desk. It's a small detail that made a huge difference. The TV was large with excellent HD picture quality, and the bathroom was modern with a proper walk-in shower, thankfully not the all-too-common shower-over-bath with a flimsy curtain that you find in so many US hotels. Every member of the front desk team was friendly and helpful, and the lady managing the breakfast service deserves a special mention. She was fantastic and made the morning a pleasure. There's also a lively bar and restaurant directly across the road serving great American-style food, making it an ideal place to relax after a flight. If you need an overnight stay near Pittsburgh Airport, don't hesitate, book this hotel. You won't regret it.
Disappointing Staff Experience
4.0Arrived after midnight for a one night stay. Clean and comfortable. Left a generous tip for housekeeping. I realized I left my toiletries/makeup behind in my Lug Trolley bag. Not a cheap bag! That’s totally on me. What’s so disappointing is the lack of integrity of the staff. I called the front desk and was told they’d check with housekeeping and get back to me. They never did. Replacing just the items cost me over $200. Why anyone would want to keep that stuff and not turn it in is beyond me. I hope they’re enjoying it along with the generous tip. An expensive oversight on my part. Scrambling to replace items at the last minute so I’d be presentable for the event could have been avoided if the front desk would’ve given me a call or text instead of blowing me off.
