Huge Disappointment This Time
4.0I really don't understand the great reviews of this place at all! We had stayed at this inn a couple of times before. It seems as if it has gone downhill since our previous two visits. When we arrived, we were greeted by the sight of garbage in overflowing garbage bins and all over the ground next to what appeared to be a garbage dump on their property. We were checked in just fine. After check-in, we headed to our room. The first thing I noticed about the place was how shabby it looked outside. There was paint peeling off of the porch. I was told there was no longer a breakfast "since Covid" and for sure, Covid is over. Most hotels that did away with any sort of breakfast resumed it after Covid was over. There weren't even the basic amenities, such as ice and coffee in the morning at the lobby area. Most hotels at least offer those. When I asked about ice, I was told that I should go and buy some at the gas station. When I went to the lobby about 8:00 in the morning to get coffee and greet the front desk people, I found the lobby door locked. I finally saw the woman who checked us in as I was leaving the lobby area and asked her about coffee in the lobby and she told me to go and buy some at the gas station. The only reason I'm not giving this a one-star review is because the room was nice enough with its four-poster bed and kitchenette. The air-conditioner unit high up on the wall didn't seem to work very well. I don't know what happened to this place that basic hospitality was forgotten, and maybe they need to get new management or a new owner who cares about more than just collecting money from guests. I will say that after I dropped off the key at the locked and vacant lobby in the morning my husband said, "Please, let's not stay here again." And I agreed with him. We won't be returning to this inn.

− Very small room, smelled of strong cleaning agents. Room got very hot compared to what the thermostat settings indicate. Took a few tries to find the right settings.
