The location is definitely superb! The cabin was spacious and had basic appliances. Staff is very nice and welcoming too.

− No AC which was difficult at night. For that price, there could have been included at least tea and coffee for the morning.

Beautiful view out the front. Right on the water.

− Cookware and grill were pretty much unusable. Scratched up non-stick coating on pans. Grill was dirty and rusty. Grill brushes were very used and need to be replaced. Back bedroom on bathroom side smelled moldy. Had to toss a couple blankets and duffel bag and other items after we left. Couldn’t get the smell out. Fans were cracked, noisy and very dirty. My wife had to clean the grates on them herself so they didn’t blow dust wads around. Our first time in the area so we were a good distance from Manitoulin island. If you are going just to fish and don’t care about the accommodations, you will be happy.

The view of the lake is pretty, but I would not recommend this accommodation to anyone

This stay allowed pets, which was difficult to find in the area. And we were able to book day of with flexible check in time, which was useful after a long day on the road.

− Check in instructions were very lacking and we had a difficult time locating the correct cabin. There were no provided map or signs to indicate how to locate the cabins. There was an additional charge for individual linens and towels which was off-putting, and yet we found long dark hairs and small stains on the provided linens. There was no provided hand soap anywhere in the cabin. When we arrived there were clear urine stains on the toilet seat and the bathroom had not been properly cleaned. This was just a place for us to stay for the night on a long road trip and I would not have wanted to stay any longer than we had.

Flies were unforgiving. Literally could not go outside. Property was very dated. Also a bit grubby, floor not swept.

− Indoor furniture was old. Bed and sofa need replacing.

Jen and Mark were very helpful with the technical issues we had with Starlink to our unit. There was no wifi access, we used our own data. The unit we had was spacious right on the lake, lovely views. There was a 2 ring cook top, toaster oven and microwave. A BBQ was on the deck. Bathroom was a good size and had a lovely shower. It was blackfly season and we donated a lot of blood. Loved waking up to the lake view. It is very quiet and there are boats available for guests.

− Suggestions, instructions for appliances and tv would be great. Starlink is not easy to negotiate. Fans would also be great for second bedroom.

Short term; accommodations were not bad.

Large cabin with lots of room that suited our family. For the most part it worked well.BBQ on the deck was a bonus

− The step from the bedroom area should be clearly marked - “watch step”
