Gem of a motel.

A gem of a family owned motel. We were in the area for the Ironman in Frankfurt, 30 mins away, and had a great 2 night stay. It is an older motel that they are in the process of updating. We stayed in room that had not been remodeled yet and was a little dated but VERY clean, spacious and comfortable. The fan/AC worked great and the bedding was comfortable. The owners and housekeeping staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice coffee/tea bar in the lobby that I enjoyed outside in a chair on the lawn. There was a small mini golf course and swings. The lobby had games to borrow and helpful tourist info on the area. We will definitely stay here again when we are in the area.

Check in was simple and fast. The owner was very kind and knowledgeable about festivities going on in the area. The property was so nice looking! It’s tucked away in a quiet area of the main road. They have free put-put golf on site and a small playground for kids. (I didn’t pay much attention because we didn’t take our kids, but I think there were swings) I’m not sure why, but we were “upgraded” upon arrival. The room was very spacious! The bed was comfortable, the water was hot, the AC was cold. It was awesome! Only one thing would have made it more comfortable, and that would be either more pillows or thicker pillows. They were pretty flat. My husband and I will definitely stay there again!

The service was excellent. They were friendly and helpful, and even though I did not find the firm mattress comfortable, they went above and beyond to make it better for me. The maps and pamphlets and recommendations of things to do in the area were much appreciated.
