If it hadn't been for the problem with the toilet then this would have been a 5* stay.
5.0Staff were friendly, food was lovely, bed was comfy, room was clean. If it hadn't been for the problem with the toilet flushing properly then this would have been a 5* stay. Such a shame.
− Toilet took between 6 to 8 times to flush properly, this was reported to reception next morning and I was reassured this would be dealt with, it wasn't, same problem on day two. Such a basic requirement and to be told it would be dealt with and then it wasn't was very disappointing.

− Didn't like benches outside. Lovely day but as an elderly person, found it difficult to use them. A few chairs & tables would have been better.
Nice hotel, but breakfast was a joke !!
8.0The Hotel was great and clean The breakfast how ether was not a nice experience. I have stayed here twice and both times Breakfast was a big issue, The breakfast restaruant is not part of the Hungry Horse, Its a franchise. The problem was the breakfast times 0730 -9.00 I arrived at breakfast at 8:50 with my wife as we were attending a family funeral in Hull. Before we even sat down we were barraged with at leat 10 questions of what we wanted for breakfast as the restarant was closing at 9am. The female member of staff rushed us so much we just ordered blind and felt streessed and very unhappy. The rest of our family party were shocked how we were treated just because they wanted to close at 9am. The staff were packing food and cutlery around us as we were trying to make a coffee and shouting be quick if you want cereal as were taking it away now. This was 08:55 ??? The cooked breakfast was rushed and cold and we left it as it was horrible and we felt upset that a nice morning meeting with family was rushed into 10 min. This is the second time we have stayed at the hotel and the breakfast again was the same rushed by staff and cold with no effort with presentation. The breakfast cost £9.00 each and to be fair happy with the price but unless your at your table for 8am you will be rushed and shocked how your treated. I would stay at the hotel again as it was great. BUT NEVER HAVE THE BREAKFAST UNLESS YOU CAN EAT IT IN 2MIN !!!!!!
