Wonderful Cottage, Amazing Host, Perfect Location

We had a fantastic stay at Merrimeet Cottages in Bright! From the moment we arrived, Alistair made us feel welcome. He is a wonderful host—friendly, attentive, and always happy to help with anything you need or answer any questions about the area. The location is perfect. It's only a 2-minute drive into Bright, or you can enjoy a beautiful 5–10 minute walk along the riverside, which I highly recommend. It's a lovely walk into town where you can easily pick up groceries, drinks, or enjoy one of the local cafés and restaurants. The cabin itself is beautiful, cozy, and fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. One of my favorite features was the fireplace—it made the evenings warm, relaxing, and extra special. If you're planning a trip to the Victorian snowfields or exploring the surrounding region, this is definitely the place to stay. We had an amazing experience and wouldn't hesitate to come back. ​"We had the most wonderful winter stay here! The property is in a lovely, quiet location and has fantastic facilities. The wood fireplace kept us perfectly warm and created such a cozy atmosphere. What really made our stay special, though, was the owner—so incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. If you're looking for a comfy, warm, and peaceful place to stay in Bright during the colder months, look no further. We will definitely be back!"
