It was close to the RSL club and a pub (walking distance).

− There was still shit in the bottom of the toilet. There was a wet stain on the carpet next to the bed. If they vacuumed they didn't do a good job because there was debris on the carpet. The toaster was down the hall, though there was a kettle and microwave in the room. I felt it was dirty and couldn't wait to leave.

The location

− Well... we've just lived through an episode of Fawlty Towers. 😂 We arrived in Forbes to discover I'd accidentally booked two hotel rooms. Turns out the room configuration for 2 adults and 2 kids was a double bed plus a fold-out couch. Since only 1 adult and 2 kids ended up coming, we'd paid for a completely unnecessary second room. At the time I thought, "Well, that's an expensive mistake." Turns out it was the best mistake I've ever made. We checked into Room #1... only to discover the bathroom door wouldn't lock. No problem—we abandoned ship and moved into Room #2. We pulled out the fold-out couch, expecting a bed. Instead, we uncovered black hairs all over the sheets, bits of dirt... and an actual rock. I don't mean "rock hard mattress"—I mean a genuine stone in the bed. So back to Room #1 we went to raid it for clean sheets. Just when we thought we'd finally won, the next chapter began. The fold-out bed had no blanket. Back to Room #1. Then we realised there wasn't a third towel. Back to Room #1. The heater? Only blows cold air.looked everywhere for remote control to no avail and without remote it only blew cold air delightful for the middle of winter. The evening entertainment? A dog that's been barking non-stop from 9:30 pm to 1130.. Who knew paying for two rooms would actually turn one of them into our emergency spare parts department? At this point I'm convinced the second room isn't accommodation—it's just our storeroom for everything the first room forgot to include. 🤣
