Budget stay in a great location

The hotel is situated on a street of cafes and shops and it is easy to find. It is equidistant between stops for the B and C trams and also near bus stops. On arriva in Bordeaux, I walked from St Jean train station and it was a pleasant 45 min stroll along the river. The economy double was small but more than adequate for a one night stay. The bed was very comfortable and the air con was effective. My room was at the back of the hotel so it was very quiet and the curtains kept out the light. After checking in, I found out that eating in the rooms is not allowed and there is a fine for doing so. This is definitely something to be aware of for budget travellers. An excellent cost-effective option in an area of expensive hotels and restaurants.
