Gold leaf Rocky mountaineer Banff to Vancouver. This hotel doesn’t match expectation or experience of the journey to date. Bath taps broken … No towels … Exceptionally noisy air conditioning .. Overall 2/10 We won’t be back!

My husband and I have just stayed one night at this hotel as part of our Rocky Mountaineer trip. The room was awful. It was grubby, smelly and in dire need of refurbishment. The AC unit sounded like a jet engine so cue no sleep either. It makes me pretty angry that hotels feel it is acceptable to charge for accommodation which is so below standard.

Location was great - next to riverside park and downtown.

− The common areas of the hotel (lobby, elevators, hallways) were not clean. There was rubbish on the floor in the hallways, uncollected room service crockery on the floor, used pool towels on the floor in the pool area. The hot tub was out of service for maintenance. One of the elevators was out of service resulting in long waits to get to room. Staff were not particularly courteous to guests. Overall it felt like the hotel was suffering from poor management and was not reaching its full potential.

− Stained towels, water pressure in shower was not the greatest, felt like someone kept going in the room when we stepped out of the hotel

Good, but would pass on next stay in Kamloops

The location was perfect, the price was reasonable. The room was comfortable.

− The used men’s underwear on the coat hanger. The robes were a nice touch, but didn’t use them because the hot tub was out of service. No lotion, but front desk gave us a small tube. Thank you.
