It was fine except for the breakfast.

The bed and the room were comfortable. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

− The breakfast was disappointing. No real oatmeal, just little packets and no fruit or toppings. It used to be better. Also, the new coffee machines were slow and no containers of milk or cream.

Decent HIE about to be renovated.

The facility is soon to be renovated and they are not doing much to maintain what they have, but the room was spacious and clean. It is located in a large office complex and there is a restaurant and shopping area for the complex close by. The breakfast was typical HIE fare, but well prepared with attentive staff.

− While I understand that spending money on furniture and fixtures that you will replace soon is not cost effective, those who pay a substantial amount of money for the rooms deserve that they be in top condition. Frankly, that was not the case with this stay. The location is not convenient for those passing through on the interstate.

Passable, and the staff are great. Just don't expect a luxury experience.

The location was convenient. The room I had was quite spacious, with plenty of storage space. There was also ample parking. The best thing was the helpfulness of the staff; any questions or requirements were promptly addressed and everyone was very polite and seemed well-trained and keen to do a good job.

− I emphasize that I'm a frequent worldwide traveller, so bear with me on this. The breakfast: way too much highly processed food (including the pre-packaged yogurts, which were filled with sugar). I know hotels feel they need to offer what travellers 'want' (i.e. sausages and bacon and pastries), but I would definitely encourage hotels to consider a wellness range including whole foods. I was also disappointed at the lack of dairy alternatives for milk. In terms of room amenities, I was disappointed to find zero ability to make tea or coffee. You have to go to the lobby. This is not convenient for those of us with jetlag who wake up at odd hours! The cleanliness of the public spaces was good, but my hotel room (particularly the bathroom) was not cleaned well. I have short silver hair, and I found long black hair on the back of my toilet seat. As an experiment, I left it there. It remained in place for 3 days, in spite of daily room service. The mirror also wasn't cleaned, nor were the counters wiped. I ended up going to Walmart for disinfectant wipes and just doing it myself. The gym was ok in terms of equipment, but was quite warm and stuffy (not great for me as a distance runner trying to do a quick 8 miles each morning!).
