Hosts were friendly

− Very old fashioned, dark and cramped. Mosquitoes in evening as no fly screens on windows. Uncomfortable bed , no extractor fan in bathroom.

A comfortable and homey stay in Nelson

The Annick House was a very comfortable and homey place for a couple of night stay in Nelson. Nick, the owner, gave me some great advice about traveling to Abel Tasman NP. And the breakfast each morning was delicious and filling. The Annick is an easy walk away from downtown Nelson and its delicious array of restaurants. I will say that the turn-in to the driveway from the main road is little daunting the first time you turn in. Initially there is a steep drop to navigate.

Ann and Nick could not be more helpful. They are great. Too bad they are going to retire, that it is going to be a loss to us travellers. I recommend staying with them. And what a beautiful garden!

Breakfast was included in our package, and it was excellent, brought to us each morning beautifully laid out on a tray. Loads of local knowledge from hosts Nick and Ann which was a great help.
