Like visiting a souless morgue

Thailand the land of smiles, certainly didn't see any evidence here. It felt like i had entered a morgue. with as much character and personality as a badly run one. Souless uninviting and unfriendly staff. Salt to my wounds when they charged me £32/ night, for an experience and service of a 1* hotel I believe they have been operating like this for a while. Giving bot generated answers to all reviews. Please save your money and stay away

I usually stay at another similar hotel next door, but thought I would try this one for a few days. Nice size room but very sparsely furnished. But found ladies hair all over it, so it had not been cleaned thoroughly. Shower pressure was awful and had to ask for the shower head to be replaced. It was mounted at chest height, so had to crouch to get under it to wash my hair. Mattress was lumpy. No kettle or hair dryer in the room. On the plus side, there is a nice swimming pool, internet speed was excellent and staff very friendly. The price was reasonable for a hotel in a good location and included breakfast, although the selection was very basic. Whilst I would not rule out staying there again, I would prefer to stay at the other hotel, which has been my favourite for over ten years.
