Lovely time in a beautiful town.
10.0Excellent location and comfortable with an olden charm.
− The confusion with the pet options and the rooms were probably overcrowded with furniture. We feel a bond for the dog stay as our dog would not have caused any extra cleaning or damage to require an extra daily fee.
Great access to the Tarkine - if you aren’t a nature enthusiast, not sure what you’d do in Stanley in winter.
10.0A very cute cottage with lovely period features. The BATH! only our second night in TAS, wish I’d made more use of the bath because we never saw another. Walk straight out the cottage door and buy a great coffee. Bed was great and a little lounge and kitchen. I saw a fireplace in a photo but it was clearly not on offer when we got there.
− This isn’t about the property, but the town - the pub bistro was really the only option for dinner in Winter, it’s very expensive, but great food. But 2 nights was too $$$ for us so I cooked the second night - the kitchen in the cottage was adequate. The wine bar also limited opening days in winter that didn’t line up for us. No chair lift in winter.
