Great relaxation and recuperation spot

The private pool was gorgeous, we loved being able to lay out and read our books and dip in the pool. It was great after a long day out an about too. The staff we met were really friendly. We wanted an extra night because we missed the first one due to Bali Belly and they were very accommodating.

− We found communication to be quite hard with requests. We requested floating breakfast 2 mornings, it didn't arrive the first morning and had to push for it the second morning. The first request was ignored. They just brought the tray and left it by the pool, we had to put all the items in and launch it into the pool. The first morning we didn't get our juice with our breakfast so they delivered double the amount on the second day. It can be noisy as it is a working rice terrace so bear that in mind. The accoustics of our villa meant that the music from reception, although quite low, reverbs around the outside space of the villa. It is quite far out from Ubud which we knew, but it's minimum 30 mins by car so if you're planning to make the most of Ubud maybe stay closer.

Outstanding service at Villa Kayu Lama

Everything was so wonderful about this villa. Customer service was always friendly and eager to help. Room service was super easy to order and food was always beautifully presented. Huge selection on the menu too. Staff always asked to clean the villa everyday and once made a towel art on the bed. We loved this place!
