10.0A very new hotel in a great location. 2 minutes walk to a small beach and the harbour with cafes, bars and restaurants. The hotel itself is of a very high quality with a stunning (if cold) rooftop pool and a smaller second pool on the 3rd floor which was wonderfully sheltered when the weather was windy. There was plenty of seating/loungers at both pools. We didn't dine in the restaurant but we did have drinks and snacks which were lovely and all very reasonably priced. The room was extremely comfortable, well equipped and nicely furnished with a very comfortable bed. The highlight of our stay were the staff. Particularly Michealle who went out of her way to provide excellent customer service. It my husband's birthday and she made sure he had lots of lovely treats and surprises.

8.0Newly opened so everything works well and looks good. Bathrooms do not have ventilation so it gets pretty steamy after a shower. Staff is very friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out.

10.0The moment we walked into the hotel, the staff had been very welcoming, and so was the hotel interior. It is quite new and looked beautiful inside. It’s a short walk to the beach and restaurants although the hotel has its own (we weren’t able to try the restaurant due to time limitations but had really good food at the rooftop bar). The room was very spacious, extremely clean and bright. The fixtures were modern. It had a minimalist vibe which we liked. The bathroom was beautiful, had the usual amenities but with added hair conditioner which was not typical of hotels, even pricey ones. The hotel had two pools, our favourite was the rooftop pool where you had beautiful 360 degree views of the area, including the sea. There was a bar which served lovely food at a reasonable price. All the staff in the hotel had a ready smile every time we met them and were very helpful with any questions we had. As we were also visiting Valetta, we only stayed 2 nights in the hotel which we now regret, as it was the best hotel out of the three we stayed in while in Malta. If we ever come back, we are staying at The Reef Hotel for sure.

10.0A fantastic stay with far superior room amenities than I expected. 2 minutes from the beach and within easy taxi travel (Bolt Taxis) of the port.
