Eine schlaflose Nacht in einem sehr laut gelegenen Hotel.
3.0Das Frühstück wr reichhaltig. Hafermilch oder milchfreie Joghurt-Alternativen wären noch gut gewesen.
− Die Lage des Hotels entspricht absolut nicht der Beschreibung. Von wegen ruhig am Kurpark gelegen. Der Kurpark ist 2 Straßen weiter und das Hotel liegt direkt an einer großen, sehr lauten Kreuzung, an der alle 2-3 Minuten eine Straßenbahn laut quietschend um eine Biegung fährt. Wir waren echt geschockt, da wir uns extra wegen der versprochenen ruhigen Lage für dieses Hotel entschieden hatten. Trotz geschlossener Fenster hatten wir aufgrund des Lärms und der Vibration (selbst im 4. Stock noch spürbar) eine schlaflose Nacht. Die Betten sind nur 1,90m lang. Das ( ziemlich enge) Parkhaus kostet 18 EUR extra und bei jeder Ein-Und Ausfahrt funktionierte unser Ticket nicht, so dass wir jedesmal klingeln mussten. Nie wieder!

Chargeable parking available next to hotel managed by YPS (YourParkingSpace). Parking is on a first come first served basis and is pay as you go on exit via the kiosk in car park or YPS App. Costs: 12 GBP for as long as the car is left with us. Blue badge spaces are at the rear of the hotel and charged at same rates on exit in the main car park or via app.
From the South - exit A1 at the A690, turning right at the roundabout. Follow signs to to Sunderland/A19. Take North exit onto A19 signposted Gateshead. From A19 take exit for Sunderland A1231, turning right at the roundabout. Follow signs to Sunderland City/Queen Alexandra Bridge. After the bridge follow A183, 2nd exit. Continue straight and at the 3rd roundabout turn right. The hotel is on the right. From the North - Exit A1 onto A1231 signposted Sunderland. Follow the A1231 to Sunderland City, crossing Queen Alexandra bridge. After crossing the bridge follow A183, 2nd exit. Head straight then at the 3rd roundabout turn right. The hotel is on the right.
